In 1997 a
rehabilitated apartment complex formerly known as McGuffey
Terrace Apartments in East Youngstown became Eastwood
Village. HMHI entered into a joint venture with Youngstown’s
Catholic Charities Housing opportunity to create Caritas
Communities to oversee Eastwood Village as a Low Income
Housing Tax Credit Project. HMHI is the management company
for Eastwood Village.
Eastwood
Village is a 152 unit community of one and two bedroom
apartments in fourteen buildings. This program provides
affordable rental housing for low-income families and
individuals of all ages.
